Stash and Kit

As Kit Officer, my role is to ensure that every member of PCBC has access to all the gear they need, both on and off the water.

Our first major order of the year will take place towards the end of Michaelmas Term, with a focus on outfitting our new novices with essential on-water kit—most importantly, the unisuits that we race in.

We understand that buying specialised kit can feel like a big investment, so we offer a substantial subsidy for first-time unisuit buyers, as well as a buyback scheme for those who may decide not to continue rowing later in the year. We’re committed to ensuring that financial concerns aren’t an obstacle for anyone, so if you're unsure, please don’t hesitate to reach out to either me or the treasurer for support.

Around the same time, we’ll be placing additional orders for our off-water kit from Redbird and Canterburies, including the ever-popular PCBC-branded trackies from Canterburies. It is important to note here that this is all completely optional and there is no expectation to purchase.

Looking ahead to Lent and Easter Term, members of higher boats will have the chance to order zephyrs from Stitch to wear during the Bumps races (our classic white shirts with Pembroke-coloured trims). Additionally, we’ll offer formal wear options, including 1st boat and club blazers, which make for timeless pieces that can be worn to rowing events both during your time here and long after you graduate.

Throughout the year, I’ll keep you updated on other exciting one-off kit orders, and I’ll make sure our alumni are kept in the loop as well!
