Qergs 2022

On Sunday the 6th of November, PCBC took on the classic novice event of Queens’ ergs.
NW1 put in an enthusiastic display, with women’s/nb side captain Esyllt proudly cheering on from the sidelines.
When NM1 turned up for Qergs they immediately turned heads. An intimidatingly in time warm up of squat jumps and lunges showed Pembroke were here for business. Powering all the way to the finish, every single member of the crew got a quicker erg than in practice and achieved an excellent overall time of 12:50.4 (the 4th quickest time out of every division)! Charlie achieved the fastest time of 1:30.6 for 500m including the transition time.
This competition has really set the Pembroke novices up for an incredible term. With some chunky splits, it is now time to transfer the speed from the erg onto the water…
